"Die Welt der experimentellen Musik ist vielleicht nicht (mehr) so klein wie früher und ganz sicher wird von unzähligen Klein-, Kleinst- und (ganz besonders) Online-Labels "lieber zuviel als zuwenig" veröffentlicht (was macht eigentlich Herr Hilsberg?). Aber wie genau Hans Castrup zu dieser bulgarischen Spezialitätenhandlung für anspruchsvolle Schwerverdaulichkeiten gekommen ist, muss ich ihn mal persönlich fragen. Wahrscheinlich lief das über seinen "partner in crime", den französischen "fieldrecorder" Philippe Neau (der hat nämlich auch solo schon einiges via Machorka herausgebracht). Egal – es zählt das Hörerlebnis und das ist hier (natürlich?!) ein großartiges. Da rollen PianoCluster durch den HallRaum, obskure Feldaufnahmen vermischen sich mit Undefinierbarem zu bedrohlichem dark ambient – eine ebenso illustre wie krude und doch jederzeit höchst spannende Mischung. Dichter an einem elektronischen Hörstück oder an Musique concrète denn an "normaler" Elektronik und trotzdem (bzw. deswegen) dem derlei Sonderbarkeiten mit offenen Ohren Begegnenden wirklich zu empfehlen. "

But I have to ask him personally how exactly Hans Castrup came to this Bulgarian specialty shop for sophisticated, hard-to-digest foods. It probably came about through his "partner in crime", the French "field recorder" Philippe Neau (he has already done a lot of solo work Machorka). No matter - it's the listening experience that counts and that's a great one here (of course?!). Piano clusters roll through the reverb room, obscure field recordings mix with the indefinable to form a threatening dark environment - an illustrious as well as crude and yet always extremely exciting Mixture. More poetic about an electronic radio piece or musique concrète than about "normal" electronics and still (or because of that) really recommendable to those who encounter such oddities with open ears. ")
